Louis Vuitton Spring 2009

06 May 2009

Louis Vuitton’s spring 2009 show will go down in history for turning cool, icy fashion editors—lovers of dressing-up, statement, and all things French and fashiony—into screaming teens at a Jonas Brothers concert. LV’s over-the-top melange of ‘40s-african-parisian-glamour was flat out fabulous. It referenced, oh just about everything, and the result was indescribably elegant and composed, like a beautiful collage put together by a brilliant artist, which essentially, it was. So pay attention, you un-minimalist! And let’s start with how to capture the very joie-de-vivre, heavily adorned look: You want chunky, tribal, feathers, and beads. You want shape and color, and things that look authentically sourced from a small clay hut on the Nile. If you’re a little wobbly or unsure, make the most decadent piece your shoes—footwear has become so much of an art form, even nuns and gym teachers can rock some feather-spangled gladiators without a second thought. From there, add on a wide leather belt (we loved LV’s obi’s, but really anything similar will do) and some major earrings. Now, obviously, the major danger is getting all cluttered up. So, stick with slicked back hair, just enough bare skin—be it legs or arms, or both.

Navy shoes

19 April 2009

So, I’ve been shopping again. When I told you all that I was going with my mom to the mall I also told you that she was going to do all the shopping and that I had to buy food for my lunch and all that. Well, I found some really nice underwear that I LOVE! I even got myself a pair of shoes. I have a pair of lacostes that I absolutely love, but I have been using them at work so they are not that nice any more hehe..

“Everyone knew that the comedic duo of Colby James West and John Symms were going to have a jack in the box full of tricks up their sleeve coming into JOSS, but no one in attendance was quite prepared for how far they took it. The two wrote, recorded and performed an original (and side busting with laughter) hip-hop song called “My Friend is a Pro,” which featured more mean mugs, aggressive hand gestures, champagne being poured all over Swedish girls and of course amazing skiing than can be possibly imagined. You really have to see it to believe it. It’s so damn funny that we watched it at least four times today on our way to Stockholm.”

Made for mistakes

06 March 2009

I was going to a fashion show today that my friends was arranging, but I forgot my ID so I wouldn’t be able to get in. So I went home and spent time with my family instead. I was looking forward to seeing the fashion show but I guess I’ll see some in the future.

I have told you yet what I bought in Thailand so I’m doing it now. First of all I got myself a pair of flip-flops in pink. I got an armless dress in black and silver “shimmer” in it, with a big pocket on the stomach area, I was goingto wear it tonight but I guess I’ll wear it another night. I got one more dress, but it’s really hard to explain how it looks, so I’ll post pics on it later. One day in Thailand we went to 3 big shopping centers, but the only thing I bought was a pair of high heels in a beige color. I don’t know if you even read all this, I’m going to take pics and post them later instead.

Talk to you later, dude take care.

Thailand fashion

16 February 2009

You probably know that I’m going to Thailand tomorrow? Well if you didn’t know it, you do now. I’m g0ing to try to find some nice pieces to buy, some belts, jewelry, dresses and shoes. I don’t want to buy fake D&G, Gucci and all that stuff. I’ll try to find cool stuff without a brand-name that we all know is fake. When you go to Greece, Thailand, China and some other countries and buy brand-clothes we all think that it’s fake and not  that “wearable” so I think it’s better to buy things without a brand-name.

You know that nice D&G piece that I posted here a few days ago, I’m going to try to find something similar to that when I’m in Thailand, a nice dress with blue and white stripes with a cool boat-inspired print on it. A nice navy scarf and a navy or white cardigan. And of course, I will post everything I buy over there on my blog. Everything for you guys!

Oh, wow

13 February 2009

I just love it. It’s from D&G.

04 February 2009

I was looking and looking for something to post here, but all the things I found wasn’t enough for me. I really didn’t find anything on tradera.se and ebay.com that I truly loved. So I’ll see if I can find something else that I find interesting and beautiful tomorrow, which I promise you I will! If I’m not laying in bed half asleep or really sick hehe..

Celeb without makeup

28 January 2009

I have surly done nothing that would be to interest for you today, so I have no idea of what to write. But I guess I’ll just start writing and it will come to me sooner or later. Hehe. By the way, we are not going to Egypt. My dad wasn’t to pleased with how they treated him so he cancelled our trip there. I guess we are going to find somewhere else to go, but I was really super excited to go to Egypt because or the pyramids and the fact that it’s in Africa. I guess I’ll have to go there sometime when I can afford it and when I have time to do it.

I’m working of Fridayas well, 7-16, I hate to work from 7 in the morning due to the fact that I’m not use to getting up at 5.30 to get ready and then walk when it’s dark and cold outside. Today I got up at 6.20 (50 minutes late), I missed my train to work and was 20 minutes late. I have no make-up on and my outfit isn’t though trough. I basically look like shit! But maybe it doesn’t really matter because I’m not going anywhere and I haven’t met anyone that I don’t want to see when I don’t have any make-up on.

Spring 2009 Haute Couture

28 January 2009

I really didn’t want to show a black dress, but I just absolutely loved this one!

This is from Diors Haute Couture runway show for spring 2009.

What do you think?

It was a confectioner’s workshop chez Dioras John Galliano sent out a procession of heavenly gowns. Dramatic folds of fabric, bubble-sleeve tops, and sculpted skirts in voluminous proportions called to mind light-as-air peaks of meringue. From powdery blues and peaches to floral embellished ivories, the colors offered as much drama as the silhouettes themselves, which felt surprising wearable and modern all at once. Fantastical brushstroke hats by Stephen Jones finished off the fantasy.

E.Funkhouser NY

28 January 2009

It’s really hard choosing make-up that you really like and that you want to trust. It sounds weird but it’s the truth. I used all kind of different brands 3 years ago, Isadora, make-up store, loreal, lancome, Dior and some other ones as well. You find a good foundation somewhere and a mascara somewhere else. Until I found E.Funkhouser and Artistry I was lost in the beauty world, I didn’t know how to apply the foundations so my skin would look flawless, I didn’t know how to do anything!

Thanks to E.Funkhouser NY I can now look as good as I want every day without putting too much time and energy on it. His website helps me find new interesting looks and he make it all so simple. Just contact me if you want to know more about E.Funkhouser or see if you can find it on his website.

Memorable Beauty Moments of 2008

27 January 2009

The ultimate uptown girl accessory hit it big in ‘08 when television’s favorite prep school princesses donned a headband in almost every episode. But you don’t need to spend big bucks to sport Serena and Blair’s signature look

Not to be confused with its preppy cousin, the hipster headband (worn across the forehead and paired with loose waves) adorned some of the trendiest stars’ noggins including Nicole Richie. She sported the bedazzled version on the left during NYC Fashion Week.

I heart Paris

24 January 2009

Aj heart Paris. Stella McCartney is opening a store in Paris and have designed a Tee, it’s like the I heart NY tee but to Paris. I find this Tee much more interesting and fun than the I heart NY Tee.

Too bad it’s only going to be sold in Paris, London, NY and LA.
